For this creation I conjured up the new logo for the bDAT course website. Working in conjunction with other students and lecturers from my course, we created a new dynamic website for our course and other related arts courses.
The logo itself is composed dynamically from avatars of the students on the Digital Art & Technology course, pulling in images contained inside XML feeds and constructing together a moasic-like QR code.
The QR (Quick Response) code incorporated can be read by imaging devices such as mobile phones which then directs the user directly to the new bDAT website (b.i-dat.org).
Because of the "Reed-Solomon" error correction, a margin of up to 30% distortion was allowed upon the QR blocks; which allowed the addition of the DAT typography.
This logo was displayed at the 2010 Arts Degree Show alongside various displays of work from graduating students at the University of Plymouth.
